Obama Girl
Sorry folks, the blog had yet another sleepy week. And yes, I will once again promise that this won`t happen anymore. I finally have internet at home, which should make it a little easier to keep my promise.
The Obama girl has done another song, which may hopefully distract a little from Obama`s recent troubles with his Priest of choice.

Walk Hard
Alright, the trailer does not look too convincing, but this movie is said to be lots of fun to anyone into movies about musiciens. It is a persiflage on movies such as Walk The Line or I am not there and features lots of jokes about famous 60s idols such as Jim Morrison, Elvis or the Beatles. Just my kind of movie I think.

New York's new Governor
You don't think Americans are ready to vote a black guy or a woman into an office of great power. What about a blind black guy? New York's new governor is blind and black, his name is David Paterson. If New York was a nation, it would rank as the 15th most powerful economy in the world and its president would be a blind man. New York proves once again that it simply is the greatest place in the world. A city full of opportunities!

American Corporations Rock...
...because they give way more meaning and importance to the concept of corporate culture than their European counterparts. In comparison to European companies and especially German companies, I find American corporations to be much more aggressive, risk-taking, inspiring, motivating and rewarding.
Just have a look at Microsoft, one of the most powerful companies in the world and one that is said to be rather geeky and unsexy. Have you ever seen a really important CEO act like this? Have a look at Steve Ballmer:

Meet the Wunderkind
He is the current Silicon Valley Wiz Kid, the youngest self-made Billionaire that the world has ever seen. His company has been valued at 15 Billion and he just turned 23 years old. He mostly wears blue Adidas plastic slippers and North Face sweaters-none of those companies pay him for that. He created Facebook, a site that lets us enjoy much of what real life has to offer-just in an online setting that is way more effective. Apart from allowing you to follow the lives of those who are important to you, step by step with visual appeal, it also offers one-to-one communication, one-to-many communication, group gatherings and group organisation, all in the most efficient way possible.
And then there are the thousands of applications of course. Most of them are still bullocks, but believe me: that will change! Maybe the Wiz Kid will deliver what some expect from him. A site that offers such a generic and expandable platform with such usage rates could incorporate much more than stupid Vampire applications. I am sure you will see more and more familiar web applications integrate to facebook. People share much more over the Web than what facebook lets you currently do on its platform. Why look for that right book that meets your interest on Amazon, if you can get testimonials that really matter to you on facebook, with direct access to buy that book from Amazon. Facebook does not only allow you to share your interests with friends, but it also gives you the chance to find people with similar interests. There are millions of groups on facebook and I hope that the functionalities of these groups will increase in the future.
Anyway, meet the Wiz Kid now: Mark Zuckerberg. He rarely gives interviews and is said to suffer from severe fear of speaking in front of crowds. There exists only very little footage of his keynote itv at SXSW. The interview was a disaster, but not because of him. It was the BusinessWeek editor who messed up. The blogosphere has bashed the interviewer like there is no tomorrow. Check out an interesting critique of the interviewmethods of the interviewer and what to learn from her mistakes.
Below a great scrapbook visual that one blogger created on the content of the full itv.

A Blogger's Interview with Warren Buffet
The man is a legend of our time. Read it Here. I don't get why some sites choose to present their content white-on-black; it is so hard to read.

Jack Nicholson endorsing Hillary
Guys, this is no joke - just American politics. They do stuff like that over there. I promise you this is a real endorsement video that Jack Nicholson has launched in Texas and Ohio. If you are not American, French or Italian, this kind of political campaigning must seem surreal to you. With Sarkozy and Berlusconi both France and Italy have adopted the practice of choosing a president in a similar way to a consumer choosing a brand. I would love to go on bashing the political cultures of Europe's sunny states, but this post is about American politics and Hollywood. So let me show you the Jack Nicholson endorsement video first.
The Obama response
And the following is the Obamian response. Not sure if that is an official response, a sanctioned one or just a You Tube response by some passionate Obamian.
